History

The "Steinbeis-Transferzentrum für Angewandte Biologische Chemie" was founded 1997 by Dr. Manfred Frey focussing on development of tumormarker assays in a cooperation with the German Cancer Research Center. In 1998 we moved from Heidelberg to Mannheim.

STZ has wide experience of stable cell line development and the development of cell based assay systems.

For the screening of potential drugs we use stable transfected CHO cells in fluorescence based assays.

In cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Mannheim (Institut für Molekular- und Zellbiologie) we developed a new expression system enabling the fast and easy generating of high producer cell clones. Our development service is based on this technology (patent pending).
